Q: How fast can I lose weight?

A: Asking this questions immediately lets a trained professional know that you are not fully committed to becoming a healthier person. Your main driver is getting the weight off quickly and usually at any cost. How long did it take you to put on the extra weight? Learning to take the weight off in a healthy way (i.e. 1-2lbs weekly) is a critical component to keeping the weight off. The journey is the real reward.

Q: How much should I eat?

A: This can be determined with many formulas (Harris Benedict, Mifflin St. Jeor, Katch McArdle). Popular nutrition tracking software like MyFitnessPal or Sparkpeople use the Harris Benedict formula. Harris Benedict has been used the longest, but newer research shows that it is no longer the most accurate. A more detailed answer can be determined based upon your current body vitals. Q: Is online training for me?

Q: Does online training work?

Q: Is in-home personal training for me?

A: The #1 reason most people don’t reach their goals is because they don’t believe they have time. Because your trainer meets you at your home, you’ve automatically shaved off at least 30 minutes from your workout (minimum 15 min drive time too and from the gym). Plus, there’s no need to search for a baby sitter, because your kids and/or pets can stay home with you while you work up a sweat. Your trainer will also help provide you with the motivation you need to stay on course, help you brainstorm on ways to overcome the obstacles that have always seemed to hold you back in the past. Q: Should I take supplements?

A: Only if you know for certain (i.e. medical intervention/lab testing) you are not getting the nutrition you need from your food. Otherwise, you’re just throwing your money away. Popular supplements come and go just like day and night. Don’t get sucked in by the hype. Learn More.

Q: Do body wraps work?

A: Body wraps died down after the 80s-90s, but are back again. Wondering what the hype is about is normal. Let’s perform an experiment. I challenge you to wake up tomorrow morning and wear a watch tightly around your wrist to work. Then take it off when you get home from work. I guarantee you that the area where the watch was around your wrist will be shrunken. You’ll see the indentation mark from the watch. That’s basically what a body wrap does. It’s just temporary water loss in that area from sweating. Sometimes temporary is ok if you take it for what it is…same philosophy as getting a spray tan. If you’re looking for a temporary few day fix to get into a dress for an event, then yes it works.
